We have not received any updates from the team today but that was expected as they were scheduled to spend the day in the village of Boucan La Marre, resting from yesterday’s long travel day and making final preparations for the women’s conference which starts tomorrow. Boucan La Marre is a small village located in the mountains of the island of La Gonave. Our main church campus is located in this village along with our main school campus which educates more than 200 children. Our campus is overseen by our Haitian Pastor, Fedner Pierre who, along with his wife Carmelle work tirelessly severing the people Boucan La Marre and the surrounding villages. These mountain villages have no electricity and no running water, making our trips truly “extreme”, but over the years we have seen the Lord provide tremendously in Boucan La Marre, We now have a generator which we use for church services, school sessions, and to run the pump for our water well. We also now have two concrete structures that serve as dormitories for our missions teams meaning we no longer have to sleep in tents! Our prayers are being answered and your donations are being used to educated, feed and encourage all those who visit our campus, whether it be for school, church, or to fetch water for their families. We cannot thank you enough for your part in this work and for heeding God’s command to always “remember the poor”.
